Escuminac main harvest syrup is the most popular in our range because it is readily available but also because of its complex and mild mouthfeel. This Canada Grade A maple syrup is both extra fine and richly flavored. Its aromatic profile brings to mind warm, buttered brown sugar, date purée, English toffee and green anise with a subtle hint of curry. Flavorful, it isfull-bodied, rounded, textured, distinct and syrupy, but not overwhelming, and has a very long finish. A grand cru!

Canada Grade A Pure Organic Maple Syrup - Dark, Robust Taste Both extra fine and richly flavored

Tasting notes — Cuvée Grande récolte by François Chartier  Creator of harmony» Winner of the prestigious award Meilleur sommelier au monde en vins et spiritueux de France (Grand Prix Sopexa, Paris 1994).

Escuminac’s medium syrup “Grande récolte” is the most popular of the line, for the amounts available, but also for its complexity and its lightness in the finish. This syrup,  Canada no. 1 in medium category, is a maple syrup that is both extra fine and very rich, its aromatic profile bringing to mind warm buttered brown sugar, date purée, English toffee and green anise, with a subtle touch of curry. On the palate, it proves to be dense, full, textured, just syrupy enough with a lingering flavour. A great wine!

Moving onto serious things, for tasty recipes as well as for the creation of rather full-bodied cocktails, with barrel-matured spirits (bourbon, cognac, scotch) as a base. While cooking, match it with, among others, soy sauce, curry, maize mushroom, wild rice, lovage, celery salt, roasted chicory, coffee, Tonka beans, vanilla, black licorice, nigori sake, kirsch, grilled fenugreek seeds and candy cap or chaga mushrooms.

Best Maple Syrup

Incredibly impressed with the speed of shipment from Quebec to Washington state. This is the best maple syrup and being a Canadian living in the US I am always on the hunt for Canadian maple syrup which is hard to find here. Knowing how easy it was to order and have this delivered will allow me to never having to buy inferior options in the store again.

Thanks so much Erin, you support means the world :) ! We love staying in touch with our fellow Canadians accross the globe. Don't hesitate to come see us if you're ever in Eastern Canada!

Great stuff

The wait was well worth it. Got our two bottles yesterday and of course had to try it on some pancakes. Rich flavor, great taste. Won't go back to other store bought products now!

Not all maple syrups are equal

Having had various maple syrups from various mass retailers, I was looking for something more authentic and higher quality. This came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The true test is to have a teaspoon of what you normally have then have a teaspoon of this (cleanse your palette first) and you'll be blown away by the sheer difference in taste and quality. One is like woodchips soaking in corn syrup and the other is silky, bright, true maple taste. There's nothing wrong with mass produced maple syrup but it's ordinary and this one feels like a treat.
